Hello there
The mechanics at the workshop here are working on a halfdoor for a M38A1.. Here is a picture of the outer piece..

And the inner piece.. Yes.. It has a lock and both outer and inner handles from a Toyota Corolla installed into the door.. I will take pics of the finished door and post it here too :)

Looks very sweet! Man, maybe exporting sopme of tshe doors to the US? If they are durable and lighter than stock half doors, taht could be a good go! From the the US companies I have checked, besides teh crappy looking diamond half metal doors, I have not seen any metal half doors that would be a good setup aside from teh CJ\YJ stock looking ones (thick).

After seeing many of your pics, Ehsankiani, it so reminds me of the old time Navajo smiths who forged wonderful creations (bridles, belts, bracelets and necklaces) out of Mexican silver coins, adapting available (household and railroad) steel to use as tools.
You are doing a great job documenting the work of your local craftsmen.
I'll never tire of seeing what they will create next ...
