Ok its time to step up. I've started the permit process for the June CalROCS event with the Carson/Reno local area office. We discussed the possibility of having the Moon Rocks area adopted by area wheelers, so if there are any Reno/Carson wheelers or clubs that might want to get involved with a great wheeling area and doing some good at the same time please contact me by
e-mail, pm or calling.
Thanks

I've alerted my club the Sierra Stompers. I'm sure we'll be glad to help out where we can.

Isn't Moon Rocks part of the Pyramid Lake Paiute Indian Reservation? I don't know just asking.

Bronco Canyon is pretty awesome, especially the end. It would be fairly hard to have an event there with the access being only dirt road for 5 miles.

The rocks at Prison Hill can be very challenging. I've always thought that there could be some extreme lines to be had there. And that's damn near downtown Carson City.

Keep me posted Rich, I have other contacts up here and it certainly would be cool to finally get some events in the backyard.

Add my name to any email list your starting. Michael aka Belly Dragger, mjw@mjw.com

Hey. I would have to agree with Mike (above post) I don't think Bronco canyon would be ideal. Prison hill in Carson would kick ass. Close to town. Easy to get to. and some Hard SHiaT! I Ned Bacon And Marcel Balda thought the area rocked so should everyone else....

I gotta agree with my club members on that one. Bronco canyon is OK but Moon Rocks or Prison hill are WAY better!!

Big Rich, I will PM you my e-mail address. Add me to the mailing list. Whatever I can do the help out, I am there. Let me know. Thanks!!

Moonrocks has WAY more options than Bronco Canyon and Prison Hill put together. There are some absolutely impossible lines at Moonrocks, and a whole bunch of them.

No name change in store YET! Besides we know Reno is only there so the Californian's have a place to spend their money.

I would say Moon Rocks or prision hill mainly because people can get there with out serious wheeling and still see some shiat, and spend their $$$.

Hey Big Rich, I have a buddy of mine who works in Marketing here at work and may have and in at some places in Reno. I will get some info.

Havin lived in Lovelock for 2 years that place rocks. It is similar to Three Peaks in Cedar City but no trees. Close to town(less than 5 miles) and a TON of spectator parking. I loved that town.....5 minutes in ANY direction from town and you are wheelin. :smokin:
