Ok, we just finished a solid axle swap on an 85 ranger, and were needing about 6 inch's of rear lift, so the question is, what spring options are out there? We want to keep leaves, no coils or 1/4 elliptic yet. It allready has a 2 inch block in the rear, and we'd really love to stay away from anymore block lift, we allready had to install a traction bar. Who has done what and with what lift have you gained?

Skyjacker or Superlift make 6" lift leaves for the rear. These are just lift springs and flex ok. You can also try national or deavers. They can make a set of custom leafs that will do whatever you want.
If you are looking for quick lift in the rear throw in an add a leaf in the spring pack. Then use a 4" inch drop shackle used for lowering fullsize chevys for an additional 2 inches of lift.

Check with 1uglyranger. I think he said he was using 56" all toyota springs with a moved shacle hanger and a longer shackle. Said they flex better then the skyjacker. just something to think about.

Any Ranger lift spring that I have found don't flex worth a shit!! They usually only have about 4to 5 leafs, and are 3/8" thick!!!!! I went with the AllPro Toyota leafs(don't laugh) they are acctually made by National Spring, and are 56" long. Ranger leafs are 57.5" or something like that, so I cut out the rivets, and moved the shackle forward about 2.5" for a better angle, they flex as far as my shackle will allow, and cost me about $375.
(Just don't tell anyone that they are toyota:flipoff2: :flipoff2:)
(I'll :nuke: you!!!!!))))
