Nice Kit. parnter has it on his 99TJ. Can you say FLEX. just like the name implies, the kit really flexes. They have made some changes since the original design and just sent the parts out. And a couple of warranty issues came up and the new parts were in the mail.

Sorry to hear about your buddy. I'll stick with my RE short arm kit. It's enough to get 1090± on a 23 degree ramp, rides great, and has been problem free since i put it on almost a year ago. My rubber (frame side) bushings in the lower rear arms are getting chewed up, but all I have to do is take the ones out of my stock control arms and have them pressed in.
I feel like I have more than enough flex in it, and I don't have to be the guinae (sp?) pig that tries out some new company's experiment...

I don't have any first hand experience with the Rockkrawler kits, but I have read enough bad stories on this board about them to leave a REALLY bad taste in my mouth in regards to them. Too many people have complained about blowing this part and that part. Even with the upgrades, I personally wouldn't trust them.

Amongst the other Jeep lift kit manufacturers: RE, Tera, Skyjacker, Superlift, Rusty's, Rancho, BDS, etc..., I don't think I've heard as many bad stories amongst those guys, in total, as I have with Rockkrawler. Of course, there is always something to be said about installing a kit properly as well as using it within its limits. e.g. Any 3" short arm kit on a TJ ain't gonna' work well with 6" coils.

I say that as I look at Pollack's TJ site and I'm disgusted to see someone comparing a short arm kit to a long arm kit as if to prove that the Rockkrawler is so much better than anything RE has to offer.

IMO, even without first hand experience, I wouldn't recommend Rockkrawler based solely on the bad press I've seen.

Motoman,
Who was your friend that had all these problems? Was it Andre Hebert? I had heard of him having some problems with the old style of the kit, but he seams to really like his severe duty kit. I have had the chance to talk to him a couple of times now, and he seams to have a great amount of confidence in his new kit. I can see the problems with the old style kit from before, but the new re-designed kit seams darn near indestructable to someone like myself, but some of you guys in here seam to be a little more throttle happy than I am I guess.:D

I think it would be better if they put a bushing on the UCA where it attaches to the LCA. It would prob take some shock out of the assembly. Do you guys think that these problems are caused by binding betwee the uca and lca or shotty hiems and workmanship?
