Hey Imuz I have few buddies going up and they are meeting up there hazel between 8:00-9:00 Saturday probably 4 jeeps and I'll try to hook up with them at cameron park may be will see you up there..;)

Kevin and I are probably gonna go up on Sunday!

Preliminary drives on the D90: It rides awesome! I haven't flexed it yet, but I know I need to do some trimming in the rear fenderwells so it's just a matter of how much. I may have to trim the front a bit too. I think this snow run will be a good test. There are a few spots where I can flex it up and check the clearance, but even if it rubs a bit, it won't stop my fun in the snow!! :D :D :D :D

I know that some of the guys from my club were talking about making it a camping run. We want to camp the night Saturday night. Are there good camping spots up off of Iron Mountain road? Are we allowed to camp up there and make a fire and stuff?

Yeah you can probably find a place to camp without too many people bugging you. Get a fire permit, and you should be fine. Bring you own wood, too.

Im be up there Friday night and saturday morning!

Is the fire permit that I got at the ranger station on the way up to Loon earlier this year ok? It doesn't expire until the end of December anyway. I don't know if it's a different ranger district or anything like that.

And yes, we're definitely going!! Woo Hoo!! Can't wait to air down the 37s and try them on the snow!!!

Not sure but the permit should be good as long as you stay in El Do County forest. If you want to be sure there is a station on your way up in Camino. Look for the little Paul Bunyan dude on the Right hand side of the freeway then look for signs saying US Forestry visitor center or something like that right after it.

I was up there today and damn there is alot of snow!!!!

Well I'm going to come up and play with you all :D :D :D . I do have a seat availlible in my F-250. I plan on being there no later than 9 to hook up with everyone. Big Yellow truck with white aluminum shell. See everyone there.:D :D :D

hey jeff, i have a funny feeling marc doesnt feel the same, after looking at it down the mountian, it was a little bit more than just a bent corner. You even slammed the choke closed and he couldnt get it started until he popped the hood and realized what happened after someone gave us some gas. At least no one was hurt, that could of ended up a lot worse than it did

I didnt mean to make light of smashing up Marks rig.
But like I said, it was a big surprise to come around that corner, and see all of the congestion, and a truck heading towards me. My options were very limited, I pumped the brakes, but it was like being a solid sheet of ice, so the right side was my only viable option, to avoid the oncoming truck. I should have been driving slower, but it wasnt icy up above, and I had no idea you guys were still down below.
And of course nothing even happened to my rig.
In any case, Mark has my number, and Ill, make good on my responsibility for any damage.
But at least no one was hurt.
And Ill sure be more cautiouse in the future.
