Ouch "stole", is such a harsh word, but they did find thier way onto my rig, just hours before the CalRocs event. Thanks for taking such good care of them though, durring your visit with them.:D
They really are a tough U joint, and I have to thank Jack for sponsoring me with them, and Tom for making it happen. I have been beating the piss out of them, with 38.50x14.50 SX, 300hp/340ftlb, 140:1, and a lack of common sense, and they are hanging right in there.

Alright then, how about borrowed on a semi-permanent basis?

I am truly happy that they worked for you. They were not actually in my rig, just the rig we competed with. The owner of that one is a friend of Tom's also.

Hey Camo, how much do the joints for 60's run? Are you going to be running a 35 spline stubby or a 30 spline ?If 35 spline what is going to be the week point? The Hub or the R&P?

they start @ $150 each
I spoke to the owner/head machine op. over at CTM and they are rebuildable in addition to being "indestructable" as he put it. The problem they are having is no one is making HD D60 axles that can stand up to the abuse the CTM's can dish. Seems axles are now the weak link. Randy's is supposed to me making a cro-mo d60 axle, but if it takes too long CTM might start making those too. This same guy built "Leviathan" in the Aug. 4WOR on p.60. sick rig...

Not to confuse things. Jack built the fullsize, and then sold it to his helper at the time Mike. Mike is the one that changed it's name from "Grutenmeyer" to "Leviathan". He also managed to take credit for it's re-birth out of a pile of nearly scrap. I always thought that that the whole thing was a bit on the crappy side after all the work Jack did on the beast. Another reason to take things you read in magazines with a grain of salt (or the whole shaker in this case).

The original CTM joints were sold for around $500 bucks a pair because they were made from billet. The new ones are closer to $250 a pair because they are made from a forging. All supposed to be good just shortened the manufacturing process.

According to Jack, the new forged units that should be available around the 1st of the year, are supposed to be even slightly stronger than the prototype versions made of billet. They will also have an improved grease port, from the current versions.
The last I heard was that they would cost about $150 each and come with a warranty.
