60seriesguy 10-16-2001, 06:53 PM Sweet, nice approach and departure! I like your cage too, beefy.
ironpig70 10-16-2001, 06:57 PM what kind of axles are under that beast? like the rear fenders. did you cut them yourself? i'd like some like that.
joshfj40 10-16-2001, 07:05 PM what springs are in the rear. I want to move my rear back at least 5 inches
coyote 10-16-2001, 07:28 PM Frosty...why didn't you tie the cage into the frame? And got any idea about the weight? I'm amazed that you can get 106" wheel base out of a cruiser and so neatly tuck the transfer case up within the rails...got specs on the vehicle.....
wngrog 10-16-2001, 07:30 PM Wow!
X Frosty X 10-16-2001, 08:06 PM ok here is the scoop
I moved the rear axle back 10"
moved the hangers back about 5"
flipped the spings aroung 2" ranchos
and used a 1" center pin relacater
moved the front forward 6.5"
moved the hangers forward 2.5" and flipped the springs
the axles are RRd60's from Dynatrac 63" wide
the cage IS tied into the frame just hard to see in the pic
I will be Fully GETTING IT at CalROCKS so ifi you want to check it out Be There
joshfj40 10-16-2001, 08:43 PM thats crazy I was just playing with my tape measure and thinking moving my spring hangers back 5 inches my 2.5 ranchos are already flipped and considered redrilling the perch. the only difference is I'm sua and would like to stay that way. I like my current hight. Only prob. was moving the hangers back without losing lift. did you just fab up your own hangers. I'd love to see pics
btw the reason I want to move it back is my rear shaft is only about 17inches, which works as long as I drop my case 3 inches below where I want it to actually be. if I move it up any more my ujoints bind as soon as I flex. I'm hopin a longer shaft will help, plus I dont mind the extra wheelbase

TLCObsession 10-18-2001, 10:37 AM Frosty -
Killer work.
I have 2 questions:
Did you use a stock rectangular tubing size for the rear fixed pin hangers or did you cut them from plate & assemble?
How do the rear shackle hangers mount? Did you add something to the rear x-member? Any pics?
I am considering extending my wheelbase in the rear as well - love what you did.

BigRedFJ40 10-20-2001, 08:12 PM Nice job....That is one sick Cruiser!!!! What are you running for meat under that thing? How does it work on the trail?
