I have a 69 FJ55 in my garage. I can measure it for you tonight when I get home. I also need to know "what else" will fit on the pinion flange. I'll get back to you tonight, unless someone beats me to the punch.

OK I measured the front pinion flange bolt pattern and got 2 x 2 3/8" That was as close as I could measure. Is that what you needed?

Not sure if it helps but I have a '71 with a mini truck rear axle. The pilot size (the round circle in the flange) is just a hair larger on the 55 but with some coercing it pops into the mini axle. Two holes line up perfect but the other two are about a half-hole off so they will need to be drilled. Basically, break out the drill and you should be fine :)

Thanks Andre. I don't know if that helps rockrat but it sure helps me, as I have to come up with something for a front driveline.

Do you know anything about the compatibility of a 4spd case flange to a 3spd case flange? I am going from a 3spd case to a 4spd, and need to know if my driveline will bolt up or can be drilled to bolt up.

The reason i asked was i make adapters that allow you to put a 79-85 Toy fron cv onto a suzuki samurai, and i hava guy that want to use the fj55 axles and his stock shaft, I know waht my dimensions are for all 7 yrs (total of 4, two for the cv side 2 for the pinion side) So needed to know if the older flanges were the same as the minis... thanx for the input guys

The flanges can be changed to allow the shafts to be used. Does that help?

The 3spd, 4spd, and mini truck are all different bolt patterns. There is a toyota flange that is round, fits the 3/4spd tcases and can be drilled for the mini truck yoke/flanges. The three speed flange is the closest, but I don't think enough material is left to enlarge the holes and make it work.

Call Jesse at High Angle for the correct answer, he may have the flange or pn you need.

Well the guy that wants my adapters emailed me the dimensions of his pinion flange, and it is the same as the 79-83 4 cyl. mini pattern.
