I don't know about V8 testing, but apparently they hold up to big tires. There's a few threads over in the truck/4-runner forum you might want to read about them. Hell, even if they do break, $115 for unlimited birfs sounds pretty sweet. Well, actually $230, still cheaper than one newfield.

I am reserving my judgement on these things until these "testers" go through a few inner axles or Aisin Hubs.

So far NO breakage is a good thing, but I know people that wheel the hell out of their rigs and don't break stock Birfields.

I am still in wait-and-see mode on these things, but I sure am rooting for them to be as good as advertised.

I'm going to buy a set and try them out.

It will be on a cruiser with 330 hp small block, th350 trans, and 36x14.50 swampers.

It will be a few weeks til completion but I plan on having it done for TDS and then the 4runner jambo in April.

I'll post my findings after some good abuse.:D

That is a fair test for anything! Give them HELL!!

BTW 40 Bones, you are the only person I know that runs the 36 x 14.50 Swamper radial.

What do those things measure at say 10 lbs? Could you look into that for me?

Ok Nolen here's the skinny.

Just went and aired one down to 10lbs.

36x14.5 tsl radial on 15x10 rim at 10psi with 60-70% tread=34"

I have been running them at 6psi lately though. They sidewalls are pretty stiff and they seem to really like low pressure.

Not bad....34" for a 36 is pretty good!

I know Bobby Long and have been wheeling with him and others running his birfields. They don't break. We run the toughest wheelin' Washington has. He has his own web site you can find out more there. IT'sToyotasuperaxles.com

I run the 36-14.5R swampers and love them 5 years. I run 8lbs front and 10 lbs rear. Good flex and tuff sidewalls.
