These bumpers are made by a friend of mine. He builds armored trucks and the idle hand labour is being occupied building bumpers for his 4x4 pals .... it would cost 1/3 of an ARB's cost in the US ... sorry :D

Hi,
Does this bumper workd with the '95 Nissan Pathfinder and the Warn 8274 Winch? If so, is there any way to get one? If not, does anyone know where I can get one that does?

Sadly not, I was talking to Jane from www.4x4parts.com for her to have it as a cheap alternative to the ARBs but it never got to a definition. Yes, this bumper works on a WD21 Pathy (1988-1995) with a 3" bodylift, and it is winch ready (I have a M8000 underneath). Also the manufacturer is about to go out of bussiness since he produces other products and these things distract his production.-

If he goes out of business would he be willing to sell the design to a US manufacturer?

He doesn't even care, since his main bussiness is armored truck building , and his hobby is 4x4 and he used to use his idle man labour hours to build his truck (a Toy) and those of his friends. But now he has to go into work seriously and dropped building 4x4s (I'm one of the last ones in the shop with my solid axle sawp, but after this there will be no more attention on 4by issues). I might try to post sometime the exterior dimensions of this bumper.

JPVM did you originally have the turbo charger buildup on that p/u using a subaru intercooler?

Yes man, I was, but now went with a 3.2 V6 out of a Trooper.
This was my engine ....

Please do, there was a huge demand for them when this bumper was first posted on AC's borad.

If the price and quality was right I would be the first inline.

well, i may try to make a "similer" bumper....thing about that is, his brackets are welded to the frame, i am going to make these bolt on. Do you want winch mount or not?

Dudes, still ain't got the truck home, when this happens, like in 10 days, I could make a drawing with dimensions ... true the winch base and brackets are welded to the frame, its better so since all the winch stresses due to roping and self weight and also the crosby shackles where you attach the recovery straps would may tear those bolts off.

the thing about welding though, is if people can weld, more than likely they would build there own. Nissans have 4 really good bolting spots on the lower portion of the front frame that would be mega strong.

Do you have some more detailed (close up) shots of how you connected these mounts to the frame? I've been trying to figure out how to go about attaching the upper portions.

Hey JP, too bad it did not work out with Jane, I was looking forward to getting one of those.

Is this bumper here made by the same guy? I like his stuff, too bad he has no time...

Hey bro, howdy ??
Yes man, Jane took too long to decide and this guy also quit working these bumpers due to lack of time.
Yeah , that pic is of his crew cab Toy Hilux. This was the last bumper he made for himself, it's made in polished Aluminum !!

Does your buddy do anything for the Navara? Just thinking I'd like to have something similar on my Fronty.

He stopped building them. He did mainly for Toys. Most were made custom made.

BigNissan,

Don't overlook having a local fabricator build them. www.jkcustoms.com is in Hutto. Jason has done some cool work, latest item was something a customer spotted "in a movie" and got a photo of... results are way too cool.

Sigh, I still need to build my shop and get wrenching... but just not enough hours in a day (or month!). Haven't used my Plasma cutter or tube bender (jd2- model 4 hydraulic) in over a year! :( Ditto my "skyline" engined 240SX is still sitting. :(

Still looking (lusting) over the Pathfinder Armada. No, not for off road, but as a tow rig/family hauler (four kids, crew cab is getting too small for everyone!). Suddenly was thinking... with Jason's rear bumper and front custom... it would really look cool (lots of Deer in this part of Texas, was too easy to have one jump in front of you at 70 mph... hmmm).

RRT,

Thanks for the tip, but I am working on bumpers to sell myself. I have started my fab business doing custom work and working on some "mail order" bolt ons for nissans, but those take time to develope and test and such. I know those guys do great work...but I do my own as well :D
