i am puting a small block chevy in my nissan and i want to know how much cutting to do if at all.
i have moved it forward a lot.
front pullys should be right in line with the front of the front body mounts. do you think this is enough room to clear my distributer on the firewall?
should i hack it all back?
i would rather not do a body lift but if i have to then i will..
tell me what you think .
and post pics if you have put any small block in a nissan so i can see where i may need to hack.
thanks in advance...

I hate to sound like an ass, but break out a tape measure. The other route is to drop the engine back in and see.
The cab has been on and off my truck 4 times getting things set right, and the engine will be in and out a dozen or more times by the end of it.

i have measured many times and i realize the moter will go in and out a lot, that is not some thing i am concerned with.
i am not concerned about any thing at all.
i just figured that i would ask what other people did to make things fit easier.
then i can post what i did so some one else could benifit from my headachs, if some one else wants to do a v8 swap.

Look through here AC SAS and Engine swap thread (http://www.4x4parts.com/ubbthreads/postlist.php?Cat=&Board=sas) There's one post on there from a 2wd owner that went into a lot of detail.
