In Eric's defense, once the Bronco was done and tested it only took about a week. The funny thing was I stopped at the gas station on the corner and a guy stopped me and asked who built the cage, blah blah blah. I am stoked it turned out better than I had thought.:D

That chrome body sure was purty. I probably will not. Work keeps pushing back my leave date for home for the holidays. It was weird driving it at first because the seat is a little closer to the wheel and a tad bit higher. Turns out this helps a little with seeing over the hood and definitely with seeing the front tire.

Sweet cage! Mind if I ask what it ran you? Thinking about something along those lines for my heep.

JR how's that Bronco doing anyway?:D Aren't you also getting married soon or did that already happen? The cage wasn't that bad IMHO. I had a lot of extra stuff done so my best advice would be to call Eric at Fat City and get the hook up. 805-477-1306 :D

Whad-up Mr. Sloan, I've been in a work storm sence the comp. plus all the wedding stuff so the Bronco has been on the back burner. The Big day is the 29th of Dec.
There's about ten or so things I need to attend to on the car before I'm ready to roll again. But isn't that what it's all about?

SLOAN ... Most definitely BAD A$$!!:D What part of Cali are you in? I am originally from Camarillo in Ventura County and still have fam & frenz there. I am curious about the price like JohnC and the downtime of your rig. Keith aka TIGGER4X

I live in Westchester down in LA but Eric is in Ventura and he was who I wanted to do the work so needless to say I know the route to Ventura intimately now.:D I think for a basic cage he charges $800-$900. I had the seats put into the cage, the cost of the seats which was a really good deal, nerf bars, cage tied into frame, blah blah blah. My best advice is to call Eric and chew his ear. It was a little pricey but ask anyone that has had work done by him and they'll tell you you get what you pay for.

:eek:DUDE! My hometown Camarillo is only 20 minutes from Ventura!!
:D I am stoked! Next time I get to go back to visit fam & frenz I am gonna pin Eric down and get the low down for my FSJ Cherokee. I want to put in four main hoops(dash, behind front and rear seat, and by tailgate) tied to the frame, seat and harness mounts, blah blah blah. I had found a friedn of a friend who would do my cage for under $1500 BUT he is always busy, he works in the movie industry doing fabs. I'd like as little down time as possible. Both are local to Camarillo so its gonna be about price and quality. Travis built one for his drag car and took it to the NHRA association for inspection and they said he was cleared/qualified to race down to the 6 sec. class. Sounds like a good resume to me. I am also reading here some good stuff about Eric. Soooo... decisions, decisions, decisions.

They both do great work, at good prices. I say go with whoever has the more convenient location. Ridgecrest is a little far from AZ and Camarillo.

Hey Sloan,

so those "Beard's" are the +2" wider version?? you like them?

I'm really leaning towards their +2 seat for my +2+ ass. I also
really like their custom benches they do for my girls to ride in.

Which seat model did you get, and how much was it?

Your cage looks very nice...

I'm not sure wht model it is but I think they were $380 for the pair. I love them, the comfort over the stock seats is amazing. If I had kids I would definitely have one of Beards bench seats they're very cool.
