I'm not sure if everyone is aware of this, but the whole DOI (dept. of the interior) is no longer allowed internet access....

heres one small blurb on it...I'll try to find the actual court oreder article when I can...

Hopefully everyone is aware that Dept of Interior is completely off
the internet (web sites AND e-mail). This occurred about a week ago
due to a judges order because DOI could not provide a secure network
for the Indian Trust Fund data.

Of significant interest is that many of the pending BLM land use
plans are in comment stage and the BLM web site has been a source for
distribution of documents for comment.

I am getting together a letter to state BLM offices (including DOI
Secretary and congress reps) to ask that all pending management plans
be suspended citing inability of department to provide information to
the public in a timely manner.

I will be citing the California NEMO, NECO, and WEMO plans
specifically. I urge everyone to send in their own letter.

Now is as good a time as any to apply grassroots public pressure to BLM.

This becomes very very very important to us because we must now write letters and mail them (gasp - yes with a pen and paper, and put a real stamp on them :))...

I had brought up the suggestion of some sort of letter generator a while back and the same 8 or so people that do everything else were the only ones interested...I was actually thinking in terms of an e-mail generator, but the letters could easily be copied and pasted into a word processor program and printed.... I let it go and I just do what you did and refer people to other letter generators... Maybe after the holidays I'll look more into whats involved and talk it over with Lance as far as costs and such...

BTW, my above post was not really related to your post, but more of an FYI for everyone. If I find the other article, I'll start a new topic...
