They hold great and they are re-useable:D. I just got a assortment for $13. Here is their web site. http://www.posi-lock.com/

I'm too cheap, I crimp and use heat shrink with adhesive inside.

I think i will stay with my solder and heat shrink. I would hate to diagnose a wiring problem with connectors like those.....

To both of you I ask why? How many Crimps do you have in your wiring? I am going to make a harness for my up comming jeepster project. All of the wires will be cut to size. In my situation there wont be many crimps. I am planning on using these on anything that I plan on unhooking more than a few times. I will solder other connections that I dont think will need to be unhooked. To each his own I guess.

I keep them in many sizes inthe ol tool box in case of emergency....great for trail fixes......I ahve used them for years...they work really much stronger than a crimp on type but not as good as solder.... great for splicing wires!:D :flipoff2: :D

you have to realize that some guys just dont like new stuff....:D

Very easy to use and a very solid connector. And they don't take up any more room than a crimped barrel connector.

i've used em, and they work well, but the cost doesn't justify using them. for $13 i could buy a box of 500 crimps, that work just as well.

but they are spendy. i have installed about 3 radios and a couple of cb's with em. i pre-wire some of the PG&E trucks i drive so i can take the radio when i get transfered. quick and easy hook-up. i got 4 packs for 5$ a set at a yard sale. i would'nt pay retail for em. it's like 20 bucks for about a dozen connections.

I use the generic version for napa.......5 for a buck...and they arr much better connection than a crimp on ten times more solid....I tested tehm crimp on one side an connector on the other..crimp failed first every time

I think they are great. Quick and simple. not as waterproof as others. We use them for temporary lighting in office space, able to move it from job to job. I would check an electrical supply house and see if you cant find some in bulk for cheap. They probably have some. The ones we use are for stringers so they arent exactly the same thing but same concept.:p

I have used them and they work out great. Not slip or shorting of the connection. I keep a handful of them in my tool kit for trail fixes. I would rather crimp/solder/heat shrink a connection, but for a trail fix these have not failed me (yet)

I would vote for soilder and heat shrink for any long term fix.

For a trail repair, they look like the would do the job!
