Ok...Missah just figured out how to do the 60second video from our Minolta DiMAGE 5 ...now ....We wanted to send some clips E-Mail to our son in the ARMY.... and if they turn out tonite for the Aurora...to post them in here.
How can I do this? Do I need a webpage? Does anyone know of a free website for storage? (that does video) that I could link too... the last one was 10 Mb....
Is there a way to get 'stills' out of it? I can get it to pause - in all of the big three video players..but if I right click to 'save as" ...it saves the whole video! :( * sigh.... )
Thanks All! :D
PM Me if you don't want to post up in here ;)

Pause the video at a point you want to take a still of and then take a screen capture. Paste the capture in word, then cut that and paste it into your favorite image editor.

Have you done this? Some video formats are encoded in such a way that if you do a screen capture of them, you get nothing...
Also, if you can capture them, you can directly paste them into the image editor (Photoshop is of course the standard, but MSPaint will work too...)

What if I converted it to JPG? would that help?Is there another way to do it besides the Prt Scrn button?
I hit it and absolutely ZIP happens...Bummer *sigh... :p

I did a screen capture of a dvd that I was watching through Medial Player and instead of loading the image onto the clipboard to paste into photoshop, it sent the image to a seperate folder. I believe the folder was windvdcapture. If I pasted into photoshop, it would just load the media player screen, with a blank area where the video was playing. When it sent the image to the windvdcapture folder, it captured just the video playing, and not the player screen.
If ya can't get it to work, send me a link to download the vid and I can take some stills from the footage. I've got a decent selection of video editing softwares to use :D

Actually YES, I have done this. In fact this is exactly how I get stills from my avi files. If I don't copy the image out of MS word then it pastes into photoshop with only 16 colors. However when I copy past then copy and paste it works fine.
