: spring pin measurements

I need a measurement off of a spring pin from a 81-84 FJ40. I know what the diameter of the pin is. I need to know the diameter of the larger round piece that indexes into the spring hanger. Anyone have one of these laying around. I have older FJ40 and FJ60 pins but not this one. I am thinking about putting the rear springs from a FJ60 on my older FJ40 to move the axle back a few inches. I'm trying to figure out what bushings/spring pins I need to come up with to do this. I have the shackles and their bushings lined out.

Paul... I always thought that the large centering pin on the late model FJ40s was the same as on the FJ60. I am not positive of that, but if so, the diameter of the centering flange is 46mm or 1.81". I am currently in the process of putting a set of rear FJ60 springs on the front of my 45 truggy and will be fabricating the spring hangers this weekend.

I thought that too until I looked in the Specter catalog. They list different part numbers. I just looked it up in the Toyota fiche. The fiche shows a spring pin kit which appears to be the pin, bushings, nut, etc. Same part numbers for the 8008-83 FJ40s and the FJ60s. I really didn't want to have to fabricate a new mount. I wanted to come up with a pin or a set of busing that would work. It's easy for the shackle end but I'm undecided on the route I may take on the fixed end. I may see if I can just turn down the indexing diameter to match to smaller diameter of the older ones.
