My jeep is dead. It won't start. It turns over, and the battery/starter is fine. However, I checked codes and I got the MAP sensor one. Is this what's causing my jeep to fail? why? i'm going insane...

Stick the gas pedal to the floor and hold it while you try and start it. It should make the computer go into stupid mode and dump gas in and spark. It should start.. I got mine to start with my spark plugs all backwards(mine is a chevy motor). it doesnt sound to pretty though. Otherwise you might have to buy a new sencor and see if it fixs it usually run about $70. See if you can get one from a wrecking yard. I think when I unpluged my map sencor my car turned off but am not sure. Good luck.

if it just turns over and wont try to catch...check the Ballist resistor that is i=on the drivers side front inner fender behind the air box.....the connection comes loose and it will crank forever without starting
