I would assume they are the same as a 40, but I need to make sure before I order the other 500 bucks of my suspension.
FJ-55s take the same size pins, shackles, etc as a 40 correct?
I have a 76 FJ-55.
Plan on adding a 1" over stock shackle to allow more flex from my 4" alcans I ordered.
Sound about right?
Thanks!

sorry to break it to ya bro,....55 pins are bigger
but .... if you are going with an aftermarket fj40 shackle, they will more than likely have 5/8 bolts (bigger than 40, smaller than 55). If they are 5/8, You can sleave the 5/8 bolts to fit exactly to the 18mm id 55 bushings. 1/2 thinwall EMT conduit is purrrrfect. the 5/8 is snug, and it fits snugly into the bushing.
I just picked up a full length, I will be more than happy to cut you a bunch of spacers and ship em to ya.

cool, what about greasable parts?
the conduit sleeve would prevent the grease from getting in there would it not?
Anyone have a line on where you can pick up 55 shackles, pins etc?
Thanks again!

Dan, I'm using Specter's greasable FJ55 shackles and pins all around on my FJ55, with the MAF/Pinnacle springs and rubber bushings.
