I have the oppertunity to buy a late seventies J20 with 360/th400/dana 20 and 44 up front, 60 rear. I am thinking about putting this into my YJ. Will the 360/th400/dana 20 combo be too long for the YJ? I'm planning on a SOA with 2.5" springs for the YJ and maybe Waggy rear springs to legnthen the wb by a few inches. Any input would be appericated.
Thanks..

It will be a few inches shorter then the factory Auto/quad-trac in a cj-7.

It should all work out well. To eliminate the driveline angle issues go to HIGH ANGLE DRIVELINE (www.highangledriveline.com) and Jess will help you out no problem. Just explain to him exactly what you are doing powertrain wise and the axles, wheelbase, etc. and He will take care of you. One heckuva guy that Jess!!
BTW ... How long is the bed on the parts donor? I am looking for one in pretty decent shape and was gonna hafta gut whatever was on it anyways. Maybe I could by the left over carcass from you. Lemme know what yer thinkin and we can get together and discuss details. THANKS, Keith aka TIGGER4X
