What's the best (i.e., most cost effective) way to get the steering parts (yoke, knuckle, brakes, etc) if you wanted to do a D60 hybrid axle?

Start with a front 60?
Buy a new yoke and get junkyard knuckles?
Buy the yoke and knuckles new, and find junkyard brakes and calipers?
Other options?

Got any sources for these or know what I should expect to pay for what's needed?

Also, I know there are several type of D60 yokes/knuckles. I know of the kingpin, balljoint, and the newer Ford's use some kind of spherical bearing or uni-ball. Is there a type that I should specifically look for or avoid?

thanks

U have to look at the cost effectiveness. I found that when I built my Hybrid front 9"/D60, I had the housing and knuckles from a D60F. But the spindles, rotors, calipers and hubs, to buy new, were over $1000! I eventually bought a complete D60F from a wrecking yard for $800 and took the spindles and all the brake parts off, and sold the housing, diff, and axle shafts for $400. That means I paid $400 for all my brake parts.
If you can purchase a complete D60F that is bent or damaged for a cheeper price, then you are miles ahead. Sometimes you can find people selling indivigual parts for a good price, but sometimes you have to buy new.
I have come across a D60F housing for cheep and I am keeping it to build another 9"/D60F housing for a guy. The guy wants me to build only a housing and he will provide the thirdmember, and brake parts.

Good luck on you quest.
