i'm a jeep guy so i know nothing about this thing other than the following:

it's basically free to me
it needs body work
it needs a new exhaust
it needs a new radiator.
everything else is in good working order (or so i'm told).

so, what are my options with this? sorry for the open ended newb question, but this is the newb forum and i'm looking for some ideas. thanks.

I can understand the radiator and exhaust work. Aside from that, the first question is where you want to take the beast and what you want it to do when you get there.
The one thing that I didnt want to accept, is that a burb is very very much different than everything else. Especially a Jeep.
Having some idea of its intended purpose will help with providing Ideas. I have an 87. 14bFF rear, Corp 10 (8Lug outers) front Lifted 6". 35" XTERRAIN. 350 TBI/ auto w/ OD, running 4.56 gears. I haven't done much to this Burb at all, but so far I have been pleased with its ability (for a sub) on and off road. I cant do rocks like all of my buddys though.

well fully built mine with 60/14 and all the goodies, it was for sale on here for a while, but now am moving on to toyota and gonna take all my running gear out and go back to a 14/10 and use it to tow. They are just a bit too big for the trails. They do make sweet apartments in the dirt though. Now I got to buy a tent. My truck did everything though. Just nothing narrow. My advice would be to make it a tow rig. is it a 1500 or 2500.
