Ok guys, working on the 35 front end, what is the trick to getting the case away from the axle beam itself. I know unbolt all the bolts :flipoff2: but how do get the shafts out of the case, since there is no front cover to access the c-clips. If anyone has a write up on this or could direct me to some place that does, it would be very helpful.

Just get a solid axle. Trust me I found out a couple weekends ago the hard way about a TTB. You never know which frickin tire to look at when you are being spotted.

Its nice to see that some poeple can be of no help what so ever!
I am assuming this works the same way it did on my 44i, Pull the passenger axle out of the slip yoke and pull the drivers side axle out. I know its a BITC.. th get the axle out of the slip yoke. That will just leave the center stub sticking out, you can drop the member out at that point.

usually its easier to pull the pivot bolt too if you have stock radius arms and no lift, and lower the whole beam for real good clearance..
personally i just would pull the beam. its much easier to get a good seal that way when ya put it back together.
shock bolt, spring bolt, tierod bolt, a lil pickle forkins, pivot bolt and rad arm bolt. with this method you can leave the passengerside outer in if you dont mind wrestling a bit with the center slip..
sounds shitty but is way too easy if you have an impact.

The D35 is a bit more of a pain than the D44. You have to loosen the driverside radius arm to get that support bolt out from behind the diff. Its on the left side of the pig behind the beam. This may be whats holding you up.
Driverside shaft just pulls out like any other Dana axle. The right shaft you seperate at the slipjoint (as Bronchole suggested). the inner shaft won't interfere with pulling the pig off the beam.
