Hi dudes, got your mail.

The trouble I am having helping is that hubs are an oem like item. All my data, all my ref books are Dana - they don't go into oem specific stuff like hubs. Which is a real shame.

I will keep looking

But - I can start you on this. go to www.timkeninfo.com - look up all the wheel bearings and seals for each app. If any differ, it's a good bet that the hubs will likely not interchange.

Of course, if they are all the same, that doesn;t guarantee they WILL interchange, as spacing may be different.

A call to Steve Gerstener may be in order...I'll PM him this thread too.

Anyone ever confrim this?
There has always been that rumor that they all fit each other, just curious.
I really want to know if the D50 TTB hub will fit the 79D60 (Ford).
I know they use the same bearing, but the seal is different, will that make a difference, who knows?

Yes the F250 TTB hubs should fit I know they do on the later Ford D60's (86-92)

Ford disc brake bearing hubs, 1976 to 1977 1/2 found on the std. rot. 60 front have a stud hole of .575 for the 1/2" stud and do not have the large snap ring groove( this does not include the odd ball locking hub style that looks like the big hub 44). 1978 and 1979 have a stud hole of .575 for the 1/2" stud and have the large snap ring groove, this hub is the same as the dana 50 from 1980 to 1997 and the dana 60 front from 1985 to 1997, BUT all of the dana 50's and 60's from 1985 up have a stud hole of .600. steve differential eng. inc.

You'll probably have an easier time of opening the holes in the hub up to .600"

I went through the same thing trying to use a 78 hub on a 87 DRW axle. There weren't any 9/16" studs that would fit the 78's hole.

Got the numbers from Steve, and took the hub and a stud down to the machine shop. They fixed it right up.

There was a set of Dana 50 or 60 IFS or TTB hubs (whatever they want to call it) on ebay about two weeks ago and it looked like the hubs had more "offset" than a set of solid axle hubs. let me see if I can find that pic
