OK, all you ZJ owners out there. My wife has been hounding me to figure out why the rear wiper/defrost don't work on her '96 Grand. Anyone else had this problem? I've checked all of the fuses and they seem to be OK. I know this isn't a hardcore wheelin' question, but we all know how hard it is to get away to go wheelin' when the wife is PO'd.

ZJ rear wiper motors burn up all the time. Your local Jeep dealer should have a rebuilt unit in stock. As far as the defrosters go, I don't know.

Since both those items run off of seperate switches I would say that you are not getting any current back there.Mus t be a shorted wire. If only your wiper doesnt work try switching the on off switch left and right a bunch of times, sometimes the contacts in the switch get slightly corroded.:smokin:
