I have a Scout II rear axle under my YJ and I'd like to replace it with the International Travellall Dana60 that I have on my trailer. The T-all rear does not have brakes. Are the brakes I have on the Scout II rear )circa 1973-78) interchangable with those on a T-all semi-floating rear (circa 1973)?

I know I'll have to redo all the brake lines and stuff (I had to on the Scout II rear anyway), but are the backing plates and drums and stuff interchangable?

As long as it's a Dana 60 semi float from a Travelall with the 5x5.5 pattern then yes. BTW the axle is sorta a hybreed Dana 60 center with 44 axle out.

Cool.... eventually, I will convert it to a 35 spline with Ford 9" outers and keep the semi-float, and perhaps go to rear disks then, but in the meantime, I have to keep costs down. As it is, just going to the Dana60, I'll be upgrading to 3.73's over the 3.07's I have in there now, and it's already got the spider gears welded....

Thanks!
