peterfj40 10-01-2001, 04:15 PM heres what i got: 350, 700r4 (overdrive), stock tcase, 36's, 4.11's..up until a week ago when i had 33's, i'd cruise at 70-75 at about 2300 rpm in overdrive..i'd like about the same w/ the 36's, but woulndt mind living w/ slightly higher rpm' for better wheeling..i drive it on the road and freeway everyday as it is my daily driver..what would you use: 4.56's or 4.88's?? FeCamel 10-01-2001, 05:18 PM With the 4.56s, you will be at a slightly higher RPM with 36s than you were at the same speed with 4.11s and 33s. The ideal gear to keep everything the same going from 33s-36s is 4.48, so 4.56 is an excellent choice. If you spend more time on the trails than the road, you might as well go with the 4.88s and get some extra "crawliness". Seeing as how it's your DD, I think you would be happier with the 4.56s.
