I got a hydroboost today from the junkyard today for installation into my S10. I would gain a lot of additional clearance if I mounted it upside down. Are there any problems with this? The only thing I can see is the little "drain" notch on the master cylinder flange would point up instead of down.
Thanks,

i don't know if it will help your clearance probs but i just removed the plate that bolts to the fire wall, ground off the indexing tooth, and welded a another 180deg. from where the origional one was. the plate is made so that the master/booster sit at kind of an upward slope so with the plate is turned 180 deg is moves the slope downward. this is what i did to make it fit in my jeep. maybe this will work in the s10 or maybe not :D
What truck are you getting the Hydros from? Is it a bolt up to a CJ-7 firewall or do you need to mod the firewall to fit?
TJ,,,,,I have a writeup on my site for installing into a CJ, might be of some interest to you.

It's a unit from an 82 Chevy 1-ton van. It's a 100% bolt on unit, amd the truck has a BBC in it so valve cover clearance is key...
