I was thinking about buying new tires
but I am no where near ready to bolt them on
the body I'm getting is still in California and the rest of the truck is still in a big pile
but I feel like I can get a pretty good deal on tires from 4wp with all the christmas discounts going on right now
should I spring for it?
Or should I save my money and wait for something betterto come along?
and if so should I get regular swampers or sx's?
I need input cuz I can't decide

Wait on it. You might find a kick ass deas on some almost new tires on this board, that is what i did. You also may change your mind on what you want by the time you finish the project.
But on the other hand it is nice having the tires to build the suspention the correct hight and cut the fenders correctly.
I would not do it. But then again i work in a tire shop and always come across deals.

Not too bad, it won't be hard on the motor, but it puts lots of stress on the drive shafts. the lowere the diff gears, the more effective "leverage" the drive shafts have. So make thos drive lines beefy and cary spares. I am going to run 5.13's with my 39.5 boggers, and i also plan to have a set of 37 mtr's for comp use.

Not at all.....I ran 42 with a 350/465/205 with 4:11's and had no "major" problems.....I did "toast" a set of spiders in the 60 though..... :D :p
