syncro on first? if so its a T-19.
If not, its a T-18.
You sure about that 'mid 90's' thing? true 4-speeds went away by '92 I believe.

it may be a 92, in fact, I think that is what I was told. I was given the truck by a relative and I'm just going to part it out. So I have it narrowed down to 3 trannys???? still a little curious, but thanks a ton for the replies.

If it has an aluminum shift tower, then it is a NP435. I would bet that is whats in there:flipoff2:

I really doubt a truck that new would have a NP-435 in it. I've never heard of them in a truck newer than the 80's.
10:1 odds says its a T-18

Isn't one to narrow down between a T18 and 19 the number of pto takeoffs? An 18 has one and a 19 has two right?

JRod,
Thanks for the link-it was very informative. I'm gonna try to do some hunting today for a 4spd for my Bronco.
