moveaside 11-12-2003, 04:13 PM Actually the Army of Darkness movie is #3 in a series. The first two are Evil Dead 1 and 2. These were the cult classics I was going to post so look for them if you liked Army of Darkness. One of the few movies where the hero punches the demons and talks smack.
Look for some others like Scream Bloody Gore and Corpse Grinders. Its a story about people killing townsfolk and disposing of the bodies at the cat food plant. When the cats in the town eat the cat food with dead people in it they go crazy and start killing people. The Hellraiser series is good too.
As for Anime I'd say look for Fist of the North Star either the movie or the series is good. Vampire Hunter D is good and the second is called Bloodlust. As for new stuff coming out I was impressed with "Blood" and the Hellsing series.

Amanda G 11-12-2003, 04:30 PM Bruce Campbell (Army of Darkness guy) is currently 'starring' in a movie called 'Bubba Hotep'...
It's playing in VERY limited cities (might be out by now) It's about Elvis ina retirement home trying to catch a mummy who steals people's souls by sucking them out their asses. The man drove all the way to Berkeley with a buddy to see it. Said it's hilaroius...if you like Bruce Campbell. :p
Space Balls................... olde but goodie.

Damage, Inc. 11-12-2003, 04:41 PM I have the original VHS 'Army of Darkness'. One of the lines in the movie goes 'Good, Bad...I'm the guy with the gun.'. On the DVD version they seem to have changed that, which sucks. There's some other subtleties that I don't recall.
As for cult movies, Blade Runner, the original theatrical version was awesome. Fawk the director's cut.
