Used lincoln ac or AC/DC ARC welder.

I picked mine up for $125.00 and I love it.
Check the papers

Look at the online classifieds for the local papers.

Put up a want in the wanted section of this board. Thats how mine found me:D

Look in the want ad.
I purchased my first welder there.

it was a 1968 Sears Craftsman 220v 230 amp AC/DC ARC welder for $60!

stick welder is cheap and versatile. porbably easier to find...a FCAW wire welder is pretty decent too...depends on what you wanna do with it.

2 battery's and some jumper cables:flipoff2:

An AC stick welder will do most anthing and are the cheepest way to get started. Cheep wirefeed type welders are very limited in what they can really weld as far as thickness.

i got a wire feed welder from home depot. it is just a 115 but it welds alright up to 1/4" thick, which is most of the stuff i do. i just didnt want to wire up a new recepticle for a real welder. anyhow, its small and handy
