Well I've got about 3,000 bucks and I have two options I can 1: Spend the money on my jeep and try to get the front and rear axles engine and every thing else I need to make it run put on(witch I do not have enuff money for) or 2: Spend it on my ram 1500 and put a lift 35's gears and a locker. I would of cource spend it on the jeep if it were in the same State but it's not it's in CO. and I'm in OR. and I'm living in an Apt. so it would be very hard to try and do that stuff to my Jeep here. But I could do it to my truck in a weekend at a buddys house. So what would you do if you were in my place? I'm leaning towards the truck because I'm having off-road withdraws and I want to get something I can do some more "hard-core" weelin than my truck can do as it sits.

and :flipoff2: in advance.

I wouldnt waste the money on the dodge. I think you will be sorry later. Youve got one running vehicle, and one not running.. Id get the jeep running first, but then again, Im biased :D

$1,500 for a Scout II, w/T19 wide tranny (granny low). $800 on 35's weld the rear up, drop in a lunch box $200 in the front, another $500.00 for SOA and you've got a real capable rig.

I may be biased though

Will the rig you build be a trail only rig? What type of wheeling do you do?

That $3,000 will get eaten up real fast with the Dodge. A good 5" lift is $1000 base price, 35's and new wheels (unless its a 99+, then the factory wheels are 8" wide and okay for 12.50 wide tires) are $1200 as a package, a real locker (Detroit) for the rear Chryler 9 1/4" is $400 min, plus install. Also, if you go to 35's I highly suggest swapping gears to 4.56's (lowest possible with that rear end) at a another $1000. Looks like you are well over that $3000. But it will still be a daily driver with heat and air and lots of cargo space, a good thing for being in OR. It'll wheel pretty good as well, just a bit large for most trails. I take mine where a lot of folks think I won't make it and I do finsh. The truck flexes really well and impresses a few folks doing it.

If you go with the Dodge, stop by my site for more Dodge info.

leave the dodge alone, put the money into the jeep, you'll regret lifting a good tow rig and not havin a real rig to play with, u can get a lot of places with the dodge, but not as many as the jeep

Don't use the Dodge for a tow vehicle, it sucks. For the 3 Gs you can start working towards a nice trail vehicle. I figure I only have $4000 into mine into trail mods and it works nicely.
