So far I am really impressed with these axles. 3 weeks, 3 extreme trails and no problems. We ran Judgment Day yesterday, myself, Jim (Teal Sammie), Jack (Grey Toy) and Chris (Green Toy). 38' are definately the breaking points on toy birfs, Chris broke one climbing the first waterfall. Here's some pics, more on my site.

Trip leader always gets the job of finding a good line :D

Jim always amazes me where he takes his Zuk. He's been wheeling it since new and still runs spring under, missing links up front and goofy leafs in back.

I'd like to come back with a winch and try driving the crack on this waterfall.

I try and go wheeling every weekend, gotta stay sane. Winter and spring are the perfect time, do all your upgrades in the summer when it's too hot to wheel during the day and try all winter to break the stuff:D

man...your making me want to move to AZ. Since I'm already depressed how long does it take you to get to most of the trails you run?

Ever seen the map of trails on my site? That's a map of Maricopa County (i.e. Phoenix and it's surrounding cities)

http://www.azrockcrawler.com/_images/maps/maricopa.gif

I am 30 minutes away from areas 1,2, 45 minutes away from 3, 4 and just over an hour from 5 and 6. I have only been to maybe half the known trails in 6 years. Arizona rules.

So when does it start getting too hot to wheel comfortably (95+), and when does it start cooling off?

I wheel year round. You just start earlier in the summer, like 5am. Bottom line if you wheel in the summer, you cook. It's all good though.:D

I like the Toy axles too, In the last 6 months I've run the Con, 2 trips at the Hammers and a bunch of local runs. No problems yet.

Nice run, Chris. I'm gonna hop on over to your site and check out the rest of the pix in a few minutes here. Can't wait till I can drag my little Samurai through some of these fun trails.

As far as Arizonas weather.. the winters are super mild and the summers.. well.. just put a lot of rock lights on your rig, because we all wheel at night in the summer :D

Took the words outa my mouth. Summer wheeling in Az, two words: rock lights. I usually wheel until May during the day. Also the other club I am in usually has a few runs in Payson/Flagstaff to beat the heat.

That Runna with the red cage should think about some type of cross support on the rear of his cage, the B pillar looks un supported.:)

I believe the tires were 38 x 14.50's, 10" rim, revolvers in the back, not sure of the springs. Jack might know more.

Are you asking about the green Runner or the grey one? Mine is the grey one. It's got 5'' lift, 38x12.50's on MRT 2" bs beadlocks, dual cases, 5.29's w/detroits and so on.......
The green one has 38.5x14.50's, 4.7 gears in the tcase, the rest of the standard do-dads, and those scary ass revolver shackles.

I like to call 'em rollover shackles....;)

I saw a 'zuki that rolled about five times on a sidehill because of those. In the pictures of the roll, you could see both uphill shackles unloaded, with the weight leaning downhill = no good.
