This looks to be a pretty good deal to me. It seems that this package adresses most of the power upgrades, without going crazy with bigger turbos, injectors, intercoolers, etc. Any bad experiences with any of these components? It's a 2000 PSD F250 on 315's with 3.73 gears.

I only tow my Toyota rock crawler on a 18' flatbed, (MAYBE 7k GVW), and a couple of SeaDoo's that it doesn't even know are there.

I know I should upgrade the tranny too? According to Superchips, they firm up the shifts (increased line pressure?), and "adjust the torque converter lockup". Do I need to do more? I'm not an idiot and will back off it if the tranny temp goes over 195, and I'm not going to do burnouts with it loaded:smokin:

I've done some searching and it doesn't seem that any one chip is more popular than the others...

Thanks,

Doc

I would highly recommend jumping over to thedieselstop.com They are the ford diesel experts, if it can be done or made or thought of, these guys have tried it and can tell how it worked and what your best bet is. Sorry I'm computer illiterate and can't link worth a sh*t.

Been there and all I could find was multi-chip test from a couple of years ago, that didn't really tell me much.

I've learned over the years that "one thing leads to another", and that's why I'm leaning to this system.

Up the boost with a chip, then you need to free up the exhaust, and then you need more air coming in, and then you need to monitor the boost and EGT to make sure it doesn't melt down, etc.

Just like my wheeler, big tires lead to lift and lower gears, which leads to double t-cases, which leads to Longfields, which leads to Cro-mo's, blah, blah, blah.

Hey it's better than collecting stamps, eh?

OK, how about Diablo's? I've heard they run hot EGT's.

Anybody know of a more current shootout between chip manf's?

TIA

I would still ask over there though. You might get alot of opinions, but a lot more experience with what you want over on that site. And I know exactly what you mean about the domino effect. Doesn't seem to matter what you drive, it costs to play.

Hell I sell ya my old TTS Power systems chip. Three levels. Stock, tow, race. Got dyno sheet that shows 250 hp at the rear wheels.

But to be honest I like my new Diesel Innovations chip alot better. See my post in the diesel dyno days.

But I would sell the TTS chip for half what I paid for it and its for a 2000 Powerstroke with an auto.

Thanks for the offer, but I've got a buddy with a dyno shop here in LV, and he has some ideas to try.

I ran the SC MicroTuner in my 2001 PSD. I would never drive another stroke without one, I really enjoyed it and had no probs with it.
