for those of you running 700R4's what do you use to keep the bolts tight that keep the tranny bolted to the crossmember?..mine back out all the time and i dont want to overtighten them..i tired some loctite, but i think i'll try the loctite used for studs, would that work?

if you need to use anything but blue loctite i'd check for vibration or other factors first.
using red or god forbid green loctite on those bolts will probably lead to the threads stripping out when you go to remove the bolts again. aluminum does not make for the strongest threads.
do you have the right trans mount in there?

yeah i dont want to strip the threads out (already did that once bolting my adapter up to the back of it)..i think it's vibration thats breaking them lose even though they have a lock washer on them..i can get my tranny to shift hard and chirp my tires (when i had 33's)..so i dont know, maybe its that..i'll try some stuff and report back..anyone else?

1st make sure threads in tranny are good. if not, you should know the retapping drill. Could be a driveline vibe. Buddy had a 700r in an FJ and needed a CV shaft to kill the vibes in rear d-shaft.
