while caving to peer pressure i flogged my CJ in 4 low, 1st gear and the frame twisted slightly. this caused a meeting of the fan and the radiator. the damage wasnt as bad as i originally thought, may be a swipe 1"x5" throught about 3/8" of the radiator. is there such a thing as repairable damage to a radiator? can they recore it. the damn thing has maybe 5 hours run time on it and its a mepco 4 core. while removing it, it appeared that the top was angled too far back towards the top of the fan. in other words while there was a good 3" between the fan and the radiator at the bottom there was about 1" at ther top. i checked the motor mounts and they look fine so i can just assume that the torque of the motor and theslight teisting of the frame was just enough to cause they damage. if the radiator is roached do you think i can get by with a 3 core standard AMC v8 unit from 4wdh? is there a cheaper source then their $199??

thanks

Pull the fins away from the damage and solder it

solder what you can, pinch the tubes that are too bad, then fill full of silver-seal (alumaseal), cross your fingers, look towards the heavens, and hope for the best.
