here is go I searched caster, caster correctors, and scout ranch. came up with nothing. I am swapping 80scout axles into my cj7 and I am curious if any of you have had experience with the scout ranchs caster correctors.

First off.... SUA sucks so most of us do SOA. Generally, a "cut & turn" is involved in the SOA so there is no need for caster correctors. You can only get about a degree and a half out of the correctors so they're pretty much worthless unless you're just fine tuning.

You are right but hysteer is expensive and I dont like the alternitives so while I save and collect the parts fro hysteer. I will go spring under.

What's your pinion like now?

Could you get away with just using shims?

Caster Correctors from the scout ranch are a fawking rip! You can get the exact same part from Napa for much less.

I dont have any good pics of the pinion angle but it has like 1.5 ins of shackle lift(around 6in long). I am currently rebuilding the jeep after the last owner trashed the shit out of it and I had heard that the castor correctors were prone to fail. I plan on adjusting the front spring perches for the best caster angle I can get with out sacrificing to much driveshaft angle. I figure with a total of around 3.5 deg of caster.(I should get 2deg from stock 80 scout axles plus 1.5 to 2 deg of correctionfrom the correctors). I should be abe to point the pinion at the same angle as the front transfer case and at worse case be 3 deg below the transfer case angle and still be ok to drive up to 30 or 40 mile per hour with out to much vibe or wear. of course this is with a standard driveshaft not a cv. I think, but will have to wait to see of course, that this should net me a postive caster angle.
can see more pics here (http://www.delaware4wd.com/modules.php?set_albumName=album07&op=modload&name=gallery&file=index&include=view_album.php&page=1)

Cut and turn is the best way to go. I cant see much gain in using bushings. Then again....it is going in a j**p.

dont most jeep drivers just leave out the front driveshaft and not worry about it? that seems like an easy fix.:flipoff2:

No prob, I think i originally stole that list from OS. IMHO you should cut and turn them and just use the shims for fine tuning.
