I need some pics and ideas for how to build a new set for my truck. I would like it build a little bit of extra lift into them so that I can remove blocks or a leaf from the pack. Looking for some ideas. I also did a search but couldn't see any clear ideas of pictures.

Use 2" or 2 1/2" 1/4" square tube, use a hole saw to cut them and your done. Either 4x4wire, Colorado K5, or off road.com had an article with pics on the setup. Don't forget the more lift you build in the more wrap you got to deal with.

I already got 4 inches of block in it now so I am trying to get to a smaller block at least. The plan in to build 1" of lift into the mounts, lower the rear shackle hanger 2" and extend the shackle 4 " depending on how much extra lift this gives play with the block height or remove a spring or wo from the pack. To add a leafs in a 3 spring pack makes for one stiff ride:D

Thanks for the pic chris that is a nice looking setup. I may have to try to make a set for myself :D Only problem I see is you better have some super strong welds to hold that axle and Im not sure if I trust my welding enough to go just that route. anyone else have any pictures?

For my SII, I needed 2" wide perches.. so that's 2x2x1/4" box tube.
Dana 44 axle tube is 2.75" in diameter, so that's a 2.75" hole saw.
I wanted "no lift" from the perches (rear SOA, front 4" springs) so I made the cut-outs as close to the wall of the tubing as I could.
I also moved the axle back by offsetting the center pin hole by 7/8".
The things hangin' off the side are shock mounts.. but it would work better if I had gone DOWN a little instead of OVER, so I could get a longer shock in there.
Next time...
Want more lift? Use a taller chunk of rectangular tubing.. say 3x2x1/4" and drill the semi-circle out halfway down for 1" of lift..
Wider springs? Use 2.5" wide box tubing..
