that interesting... My friend just installed a cam in his chero during the rebuild. When he started it up the jeep wouldnt idle at all.. he had to keep the throttle up around 2000 rpm or it would stall out.. I told him to reset the computer and let it re-program itself. He did it and it seem to work. Try it :D

If you want some good tech advice, call HESCO. They helped me during my 4.0L head on 4.2L block install with Mopar kit, etc. etc. Really cool guys over there.

Same shit happened to me when I worked my 4.0 over. I reset the computer and it fingered it out itself. Try that, hope it works for you.

:D yup. you know you really opened yourself to some bashing. But its early and I'll refrain :D.

Take the battery cables off for a few minutes. Re-connect them. Start the Jeep up, dont touch the gas or anything just let the car do its thing. You'll probably notice the rpm's vary up and down a little, etc. Let it do this for about 30 minutes. then turn the Jeep off (again you still havent touched the gas or anything) Then restart it. Walla It she be programmed.

ok , thanks for all the info rockbuggy. turned out to be the wrong intake/exhaust gasket. it was leaking like a mofo on the bottom of the 2 center cyl. so i guess we call this one operator error. damn't i hate it when i do that. (always match up your parts , says my boss). i should know better by now. oh well works good again. thanks again. later!!!!
