My truck when driving down the road pulls to the right, I know that the allignment is off. But when I brake my truck pulls really hard to the right. Its like my caliper is only gripping the right brake pad. What i causing this? How can i fix this?

Before you replace the caliper, by the way you change calipers in pairs not just one, Bleed your brakes, check to make sure your pads don't have grease or oil on them. I would also inspect front end components for wear. If that won't fix the problem, take it in for an alignment. :skull:

I replaced my calipers 2 brake pads ago. I will replace them next when my pads go bad and I get new ones and drain the old fluid out and put new fluid in. I checked everything else components for wear, grease on pads, brake fluid level etc. and it all was fine.
Did you bleed them? Cuz that could be the difference. Only takes a few minutes. That'd be the first thing I would check, to see if you have some air in there. It could make it act as you describe, if you missed your front left last time you did it, or had a leak, anything really.

I was going to bleed them when I had my wheel and caliper off but didnt have anyone on hand to pump the brakes. I thought there could be air in the lines because my brake pedal felt a little squishy. But thats how the brakes are on my type of trucks but I will try that and tell you how it turns out. It is so bad I can almost do a u-turn...haha

sounds like a sticky right side caliper to me. Take the caliper off, crack the bleeder screw open and make sure you can depress the piston. If it won't move, get another one. I have had this happen on new and old calipers. A little mud goes a long way.

I bled the brakes and that fixed the problem
