Check it out, the price is right. Only $895, I have to say the price is right. How much was the other 6:1 from AZ?

from AAPA site

Nobody has a better price or a higher quality gearset.
DUE TO POPULAR DEMAND, SUMO GEARS ARE BACK TO THEIR ORIGINAL LOW PRICE! $849 + shipping + core

Come on, Chris, come on! 11 More posts and you're not a newbie anymore. Hang out in the general chit-chat forum for a day or two and you should be there.

Talked with Cal Mini yesterday, Seems the price is a bit lower for the first run available in mid January.
I also heard "lifetime guarentee"
A little scared about a lifetime warrenty on something from a "smaller company" that you install yourself.
I have heard some stories about the "guarentee" and Cal Mini.
Have you guys had good or bad luck with this company ?
I have never purchased anything from them.
Throwing down 8 bones for something and getting bent over later isn't my idea of a good time.
This is my first choice so far for the gearing in my Zuk.
Brand new gears, no core, not welded, I can drive there to get them, and if they don't work I can drive there to "Get them again".
Give me your thoughts ...

Dave

Way to milk it, buddy. :D

When did TN get moved up next to Seattle? I can't go froadin' since you can't go 500 feet off pavement without running into unknown depth holes. :(

AZ-Dave has been around forever on the ORC BBS and has a *VERY* good reputation to back up his products. He is really old fashoned about customer service.

This and the fact that he is a fellow zuker (rather than a businessman) tips the balance in his favour for me.

Thanks for the kind Regards, Alfred.

our Sumo gears are not new to Zuks, they are only new to the U.S. they have been used in the UK for a few years..along with 7.something or another gears they make....we chose not to go with those for right now..too much modification to install them..but what a gear ratio....

we stand behind our gears with a manufacture's warranty in writing to everyone that gets a set. great thing about that..if the other guys were not making that offer..they soon will be.

the cool thing about the other gears being made..you guys have a choice of high range.....none of them are the same....so get the gears you want.. and look for more new products with the Sumo name on them right after we get Santa out of the way...lol

oops.....I wanted to add something to this before I sent it..plus I need a bunch more post to get out of the newbie satus....

I don't like to reply to a post where someone is talking up product made by another Vendor... I know. I have done it in the past, but it isn't cute or as fun as it used to be...lol

We are going (we= Casey, Aaron & Kristol ...oh and myself) to add more quality products to our current Zuk line-up....and also going to do more Toyota, Honda and other Import motors and hard parts. we are doing bumper to bumper repairs now on all those, plus all the rebuilt kits for the engines, transmissions and transfer cases.....along with lower gears, lockers and lift items.....except the Hondas..hehe Those guys want to slam them...and make em go Fast! We do that....too!

We have a "Screaming Multi-Port Injection System" that will be ready for market right after the first of the year. It is a great system, it will work on most all 4 bangers and small V-6's..also makes is simple to add power or a newer motor from another truck to your Zuk, or Yota.... and these new rear Sumo driveshafts "one size fits all" should solve those bad vibs for any Zuk!
