Has anybody with an EB done a replacement spring in the rear for extra lift/articulation besides the aftermarkets? Something like an F150 spring or ?

You can invert the shackel and get lift and flex from that I think I found it somewhere on the www.broncohio.com site I did it and like the results.

BroncoBoy,

Do you have any pics? Does this provide any lift or will I still need blocks? I'm in Elk Grove, so we're close. Sounds like a go to me. Thanks.

how i have it setup right now, i clear 39.5 tsl/s with no blocks. it uses home made shakles. they are approx 7 inches from hole to hole. im not living in rancho right now. i live in turlock, south of modesto. i will be moving my bronco to part it out. and the spring is 3 inces wide, not 2.5 like stock, so you will need a new u-bolt plate. go to pick and pull and get them there, or you can have mine. i dont have pictures, but im sure some one else does of this setup

and, i get the same flex i got out of my 4.5 nationals with the old style shakle, these springs are stronger, and if they do wear out they are 15 bucks at pnp. not 450 for a pair.

I'll be in Turlock on Wednesday. This isn't Ron is it? Let me do some research and check this option out. Do you have a measurement from Fram to top of the rear end? Trying to get an idea of how much lift they give. Is the truck moving? Can I see the springs in action (perhaps at the local Safeway loading bay?).

I'm going down to see Ron @ Sierra Broncos. He's your neighbor! I'm picking up my 31 spline axles for the 9. What other goodies do you have?

I'd love to check out your rig first. email me @ jacovert@compucom.com. Did you buy this kit form Bent 'n' Twisted?

Oh yeah, how do they ride on the road? Would it be cool if I brought a high-lift to give it a little articulation test? Thanks!

ron my neighbor what??? a highlift doesnt work for flex test.
but hey if you want to thats cool with me, dont let it roll out into the street, its still in the drive way. do you want to buy a 14 bolt with 5:13s and welded diff and disk brakes. and a rc 44 5:13s detroit up front full width. 8 lug???

No, unless you've got a 60 front, I'm good.

The high lift should allow me to see the droop to an extent. I can't find anybody with the f150 rear springs, know of any sites? did you get these from bent n twisted? how did they ride on the road? thanks.

Sweet75, if you want good flex out of you bronco then these springs are they way to go. They are soft but well worth it. Not to butt in, but if you dont want them I will take them. Hey Pat, I got "2nd" dibs on them. Let me know what you guys decide to do.
Thanks,
Chad
