I think aluminum is about 266 lbs. per cubic foot.

Can anyone else confirm?

Thanks……Jay

I use .10 lb/in^3 this comes to 173lb/ft^3

What kind of Al and under what conditions? CRC gives a range of densities between 2.37 and 2.41 g/cc for pure Al at the melting point, depending on atomsphere, etc. Pick a number and multiply by (((2.54)^3)(12)^3)/454.5 to convert. About 150 lbs/ft^3. For the alloys 3003 or 2017 the densities are more like 2.8 and 3.0 respectively, so about 187 lbs/ft^3. That value of 266 lbs/ft^3 gives a bulk density of ca. 4.26 so it's more like titanium, but not quite. ;)
