What year did the FJ40's go to a round driveshaft flange on the diffs?
My '71 has a square flange on the front axle, but the rear axle has a round flange.
Thanks!

They did'nt, you must have an aftermarket flange for a fine spline or a mini truck.

Thanks Jeff! That's what I thought.
Got some funky stuff going on with the pinion anyhow so I guess I'll pull it apart to see what's going on. Maybe I've got a fine-spline axle, or else it's just the flange.

I don't know for sure if it's factory or not, but my 69 transfer case front output flange was round...this is a 10-spline and is interchangable with those on the 10-spline pinions.

I believe it was in 84 that land cruisers got round flanges. From what I remember it coincides closley w/ crush sleeves. I could be wrong :-D

i thought some had them by 79' the big problem is this want more flex /angle out of your line - its difficult not impossible - because of the bolt patern and having a square flange makes re -drilling tough-
