I downloaded this pic from here a long time ago and I was wondering who's it is? I am looking for the flex hose application or part number used. It was used with 77 3/4 ton calipers. That is about all that I know. I have tried searching, but nothing has come up with this info.

First you need to find out what caliper your using. Once you find out what caliper just get the front brake line for that application..

TSM's brake hoses are like 50 smacks, I paid 30 for both mine..

I have 73 Chevy 3/4 ton calipers and I don't want to use a flex line that is 20" long. I am setting mine up like the pic in the link that I showed. Can one of you with a red star attach the pic?

if you go to partsamerica.com or rockauto one of the online parts houses one of them tells the length of the hoses and what size ends the hose has. pretty handy.

must be an optical thing but it looks like the ubolts would interfere. that hose should be longer so the hard line ends before it gets to the u bolts IMO

IF you do set them up like whats in the picture make sure you can pull the caliper off without removing the brakelines. In the picture it doesnt look like you can..

breaking an axle shaft on the trial and having to bleed your rear brakes because you cant remove the caliper.. That would suck..

Hey that's mine. :D I don't have the part number for the hoses, I just went to NAPA and looked through the book until I found the ones I wanted. I'll look at the hose and see if the part # is printed on them when I get a chance.

WheelingPiazza - I can pull the calipers without removing the brakelines. I don't have to pull the caliper to change an axle shaft though, its a full float Dana 60. ;)

mj- the u-bolts don't interfere with the brakelines. The spring pad in the picture is the original pad that was on the axle, the one that is actually in use is inboard of that about 4".

See I keep forgetting about the fullfloater axle shafts..

I need to make some tabs for my rubber lines on my axles as well.

THE LINES WE USED ON OURS WERE FROM A MID 80'S MONTE CARLO. THEY ARE ABOUT 8" LONG AND THEY FIT THE BANJO BOLT FOR 1/2 TON AND S-10 CALIPERS. TO FIT THEM ON 3/4 TON CALIPERS ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS DRILL OUT THE BANJO FITTING THE 1/32" AND YOU'RE DONE. THEY WORK GREAT AND THEY ARE NICE AND TIDY, NOT HANGING OUT ALL OVER THE PLACE.

That is what I found out. I took a trip to PNP today at lunch and found out that most early 80s Chevy, Olds, Pont....used a real short flex line like the one in the picture.

Thanks guys.

Where on coloradok5? I could use a set, depending on price. Also curious, what rotors are you running?

They use 3/4 front 4x4 rotors. I can get these 3/4 *new* caliper brackets for $60 to $70 a set

Those look almost exactly like chevy 1/2 ton brackets, except on mine the dust covers are also thick steel.

I've got a few of them sitting around. I was more interested in the spiffy bolt on units in the picture.

HAHAHA!!!

They will work on a 60, 14 bolt, or my application - an Eaton. I can only get them in that coating/styling. Basically - if they don't bolt right up (won't for me) you just cut off what you don't need and weld them up. I'm not saying you couldn't plasma cut ones for cheaper - but these are real 3/4 new brackets.
