: Weather conditions at the Hammers

The weather forecast calls for temps to drop 30* between now and next Thursday. If this storm hits us tonight (50-50 chance) the snow level will drop down to 2000ft (we are at 3500). Plan on temps to be as low as 50 in the day time and 20 at night.
And don't forget, being the Hammers, it could be 75-80 also
As of last weekend, the drylake was 3/4 covered with water/mud but the west side (where we usually camp) is still dry.
So just like every Thanksgiving at the Hammers, bring your warm weather clothes, bring your cold weather clothes, be prepared for wind like you have never seen and it will probably be nice and calm:D:D.

John, if the lakebed becomes all mud there is another place to camp. It's on the left side of Boone Rd. just before it drops into
that big dip. It would be tight, but there should be room there.

It won't be that bad. That stuff dries quick and I was there LAST weekend.

Could be 5 days of constant 50 mph winds like last New Years:rolleyes:

My buddy and I were playing in the craters when along comes a door mat at about 25mph. For nothing better to do I chase it down and park on it. Come to find out it was hia and our Motorhomes were about 3 miles away:)
