got a chance to get a 79 cherokee, got a 360, q-trac drive train, anybody know what these are like,
what should i look out for?
may be able to get it for about 800 bucks, would it be a good daily driver as well as wheelin rig
or should i spend my money on :beer: :beer: :beer:

Two door or FOur? The twos have sweet lines. Nice body-on-frame construction. 360 is a decent engine. A little heavy. F&R 44s. Easy to bolt in 60s. Body lifts. Easy to hack fenders for 36s.

I have a '76 Chero 2 dr. and love the thing. If you don't snag that up you better lemme know cuz I'M AAAWWN IT!! :D

I have a 79 4-door cherokee.. It is real nice.. Although it runs a deisel engine and toyota diffs... When it was in original shape it was real fun to drive.. just like it is now...:D

Got a 78 Waggy and it was great (when it ran). It's the project now. One thing to look for with the Quadratrac transfer case. They made the lowrange optional. You really want one with the lowrange. The lever is on the hump almost under the seat on the driver's side.
