A buddy of mine has built plenty of front and rear axles so far and wants to try something new. He needs front axle tubing but cannot find a place around here that sells it. Where do you guys or others, ie. Curries, Tri-County, etc., get it from. he doesn't want a whole 20' stick, just like 3-4'.
Thanks.

If you want to buy a quantity like that buy it from Currie. I know people who have gotten good prices from Currie and Sandy Cone. about $10/ft.

Gordon,
What is Sandy Cone's number. I too could use some tube to finish off my rear end.

I dont get why you wouldnt call a metal sales place same as you would for any other metal, why bug Sandy Cone or Currie.

I think its because most yards only want to sell ten and twenty foot sticks of the stuff.

What type of tubing do you use? DOM, ERW?

I've bought dom axle tube before from a metal shop (special order). They'll usually sell just what you need but it is usually like $50 to $60 a foot.

GEEZ, that price kindof takes the fun out of doing it yourself!!
I will tell my friend to call Currie, etc. and see what they say.
Thanks for the replies.

Currie is the best place tp buy axle tubing, it's all DOM and they have a few different sizes. It' usually about $15 per foot. Sandy only has 3" x .25 wall 4130.
