You can get them West Coast Differentials, also Randy's, and perhaps elsewhere.
BUT: because they are 37/7s (4.88s are 39/8s, 4.56s are 41/9s, 4.11s are 37/9s) the pinion gear is kind of small which means the ring gear is thick which means the cross pin is very difficult to get in. Apparently major tooth grinding is required. Sounds like a good time to upgrade to a full floater.
I'm running them in my '67 FJ45 wagon with 36.4 Michelin 9.00R16 XZLs, Cummins 6AT3.4, NV4500, Rock Box, cast iron 3spd TC. With ARB and Soflocker.

I didn't ask but what size tires are you running and what kind of terrain are you primarily playing in. Everyone around here I know runs 4.88's in their cruisers. Great for rocks and 35's.

Like Charles said, unless you have a FF rear, they are not really feasible in a Cruiser...

I run 4.88's and 38" tires on the road with my old tired 2F engine and the RPM's are just right.

If you are looking to Crawl, R and P gears are not the route to go, change you tcase or transmission for better results.

Oh damn, almost forgot....welcome :flipoff2:

I agree 100% with the above advice. Gear ring and pinion so that rpms at highway speed are just right with tires. Then:
1) An H41 4spd is a relatively cheap upgrade from the stock N. American H42. 1st is 4.925 instead of 3.555, almost 40% lower. If you have a 3spd then a SM420 or 465 with plate adapter is the way to go.
2) If you have the $$ to spend and the room in terms of driveline length (in other words a 45, 55 or 60) SM420/465 and NP203 reduction box, or the new AA Rock Box (3.44 - not available to spring, and I've got the 1st one coming!) , or the expensive Klune reduction box (2.73 or 4:1) will get ultra low gearing. Another $$ option is to switch from an H42 close ratio 4spd to the H55F 5 spd (1st = 4.843, 5th = 0.845) and split transfer case, either with a 2.276 ratio or with Marks' gears which are either 0.92/2.81 or 1.08/3.05.

All this costs money. 4.11 gears are usually perfect for 32-33" tires without an overdrive and with a 6 cyl gas engine. I drove Landcruisers for 19 years (69-88) before I started upgrading them. Now I've got a BJ40 with H41, overdrive and 4.88s with 32s, a BJ60 with 4.56, 34s and 3.04 low range, and putting together a FJ45 wagon with Cummins 6AT3.4 (small 6 cyl diesel) NV4500, AA Rock Box and 5.29s with 36.5s. If you're young drive a stock 40 for a while so you appreciate the upgrades and are sure what you want.

i run 5.29s in a fj 62 with 38 in super swampers it put the speedo dead on. i did have to grind the shit out of the ring gear for the cross pin in the rear. if you are going 36 or smaller tires stay away from 5.29s. the only place i found them is west coast differential. mike

The TLCA provides a handy table to sort through the combinations of gear ratio and tire size:

Hey guys! Thanks for the replies. (I did do a search and it kept coming up nothing) Yes, I am wanting crawl ratio. Now I have 35 BFG MT's with 4.10's with stock tranny and transfer case. I am either going to do the 5.29 or the new Marlin reduction box adapter, which I am anxiously awaiting word on. I knew even with 4.88's that I would have to grind a tooth on the ring gear. By the way, Gunracer 1 I would love to have the turbo tranny and transfer case, for my 84 X-TRA cab.
Oh Well, that is all for now and thanks for the welcome :flipoff2:

put in an sm420 and all the gearing you want will be there. with 5.29's the pinion is severly reduced in size and you will hate life evertime youhave to get the crosspin out even after major grinding:nuke:
