Sooo last week my 87 K5 blazer, (305 with TBI fuel injection, HEI remote coil ignition all stock) starts cutting out for a few seconds with a backfiring type sound"kinda like through the intake? but not", then coming back to life jolting the whole truck severely. It got new plugs and wires 2 months ago and since the problems started happening I have installed new cap, rotor, fuel filter, coil. Any ideas? This is driving me fawking nuts and I have to drive 350mi back home Wed. for Turkey day and if it keeps this up I'm not gonna have a tranny or any motor mounts when I get there.

Mine was doing that a few months back, ended up being a fried wire on my coil. I'm not injected and I have the coil in cap hei dist. I would check the wiring going to the coil, sounds like it's losing power then getting it back. Or maybe something inside the dist. it self. Hope this helps.
